Wanted
I have been waiting on a new set of stamps to arrive so that I could design a new 12x12 layout. When it arrived - so did the school holidays, and with it every opportunity to have a quiet moment to myself. I finally convinced the boys to watch a new DVD that we had purchased for the holidays - I didn't feel too guilty, as it was pouring with rain outside.
First I made a Tag Accordian - using the Wanted Set from Stampin' Up!, and only three colours - Wild Wasabi, Basic Grey & Purely Pomegranate. My daughter Gabriella posed for some cute photos and I added them, and a little bit of word stamping - and wala!
One hour later and I had my 12x12 page nearly finished. One week later I am done and am quite happy with the outcome. My son Ethan was inspired too and made a gorgeous page for Dad - and apparantly when I "go", Ethan would like my Stampin' Up! stuff!

Welcome
Party Invitation
I have always enjoyed receiving invitations - they are what set the 'mood' for the party ahead. I designed this invitation holder and invite with the theme being 'Cupcakes'. Using Stampin' Ups 'Birthday Best' stamp set, I created a simple invitation, and then on the back of the invite I typed up my favourite cupcake recipe. The holder was really simple, and I dressed it up with some dazzling diamonds and ribbon. I also used the same cupcake stamp to decorate bagalopes for the party favour bags. Too cute! At the party, all the children got to decorate cupcakes - I had made 60 - and then eat them. Yummo!

Scrapbook Layout
When designing a page layout I have three main steps that I know I need to do in order to acheive a successful page layout.
Choose your photo/s first, then add your colour scheme and any embellishments to 'dress' up the layout. Add your journal details. Finished.
Well that sounds good in theory - but I am finding that what would normally be a 1 hour project is easily turning into a 4 hour project. And often that is without interruptions! Am I getting too fussy?
